Hi! I’m Emma!

Born and bred in Brooklyn, I came into this world sassy and singing!

Growing up walking to school with my mom, I’d belt out ‘My New Philosophy’ from the musical You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. From three years old, Sally’s bossy philosophies told me and everyone around me, “I GOTTA SING!”

My Chinese & Jewish mix allows rich complexities in my performing. Like the candy I’m known to always dole out, I’m sometimes tart and sometimes sweet but you know it’s always gonna be good.

I hold a BA in music and french from Skidmore and a Master of Music in opera performance from NYU (wahoo?!). I’ve come full circle with my music, exploring my voice from the breadths of world music to Hayley Williams, to the depths of opera and musical theater; your girl’s got range, baby!

To me, music is universal and art makes being human special (and tolerable).

With my philosophies ever-changing towards a more equitable and diverse performing space, I have learned valuable lessons about life and the human condition. Come along with me for the wild ride we call life!
